NEW BARRELS FOR THE WINE AGING PLACED IN THE NEW CELLAR
The Villa Spinosa's wines are aging in the new cellar
Valpolicella, October 20th, 2017
The restoration of thesubterranean cellar, once reserved for the aging of Amarone in Slavonian oak casks,is now concluded.
This cellar, after the big barrels were moved to the new “Tunnel of Jago”, has been now turned into the space where
Amarone ages in tonneaux, the small French oak barrels of 500 litres.
This is how our “Underground City of Wine” has been completed in order to get four different areas,
corresponding to the natural cycle of the wine aging:
the one area dedicated to the stainless steel tanks, the other ones to the aging in
tonneaux e casks and finally the aging in bottles before the marketing.
We look forward to let you discover all them during a tour to Villa Spinosa.
