November
Weeding and olive harves
Productive vineyards:
In November, once the harvest is finished, the season of agricultural works in the vineyard is finished.
Now, the vineyards are checked to plan work to be carried out in the following months.
The last job to be done during these weeks is weeding in the vine-rows. This is done before the leaves start falling.
For the weeding treatment to be effective, the temperature must not be lower than 8°C.
New vineyards:
This month no work is done in the new vineyards.
November is the month of the olive harvest: sheets are spread under the plants and, with a machine, the branches are combed favoring the fall of the olives which, within a few days from the harvest, are brought to the mill for milling.
