"Tre Bicchieri" for Villa Spinosa's Amarone Albasini, featured in Gambero Rosso's Vini d'Italia guide for the eighth time.
This marks the eighth Tre Bicchieri award for the Albasini Amarone and the ninth in the winery's history. The awards ceremony will take place on October 25 in Rome, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of Gambero Rosso.

A new prestigious accolade for Villa Spinosa: the 2019 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG “Albasini” has earned the Tre Bicchieri award in Gambero Rosso’s Vini d’Italia 2027 guide.
This is a particularly significant achievement: it marks the eighth Tre Bicchieri award for “Albasini,” following those granted to the 2008, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2016, and 2018 vintages. For Villa Spinosa, this is the ninth Tre Bicchieri award overall, following the first one won in 2016 with the 2011 Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore “Jago.”
The awards ceremony will take place on October 25, 2026, in Rome at La Nuvola, during the presentation of the Vini d’Italia 2027 guide—a year in which Gambero Rosso celebrates its 40th anniversary.

“Albasini” represents the most traditional expression of Villa Spinosa’s Amarone. It originates from the family vineyards—specifically the Figari area, a historic cru overlooking the Marano di Valpolicella valley.
Controlled power, natural elegance, and an expression of the terroir are the hallmarks of an Amarone that embodies the winery’s philosophy: to champion the tradition of Valpolicella Classica through wines that convey identity, elegance, and the ability to evolve over time.
With the Tre Bicchieri award for the 2019 vintage, the story of “Albasini” gains yet another accolade:

Eight vintages, one unifying thread: Villa Spinosa’s commitment to telling the story of Valpolicella Classica’s identity and character through its Amarone.
Starting in October, Villa Spinosa will celebrate this significant milestone with an exclusive vertical tasting of “Albasini,” featuring the vintages that have earned the Tre Bicchieri award from Gambero Rosso.
Guests will have the opportunity to taste the 2008, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2018, and 2019 vintages in a private room within the estate’s historic wine-aging cellar.
