93 points Robert Parker for Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Doc 2007 - 10 years: an important recognition that rewards an ambitious project
Valpolicella, May 11st, 2024
"Released ten years after the harvest, the 2007 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Guglielmi di Jago is a seriously bold and heavy-weight wine. It's got big bones and a brawny physique to carry its 16% alcohol content. Exactly 3,199 bottles were made. The wine sees 100 days of appassimento, a blend of 45% Corvina Veronese, 45% Corvinone and 10% Rondinella. You'll dig through lots of black fruit—prune, dried plum and raisin box—with tangy Indian spice, teriyaki and mesquite. The tertiary notes here add complexity with licorice, tar and road paving. Here's your wine for a hearty T-bone steak". Monica Larner
