THE JOURNALIST MICHAEL GARNER
VISITS VILLA SPINOSA
To discover places, wineries and wines in Valpolicella
Valpolicella, June 01st, 2017
The English journalist Michael Garner, during his trip to Valpolicella to discover places, wineries and wines, also visited VillaSpinosa.
That was an important meeting for us of Villa Spinosa, during which we had the chance to make the acquaintance of the journalist, who is writing a book about our territory and its wines.
His visit was also the opportunity to discuss about Valpolicella, the future of its wines and our denomination.
We showed to Garner Villa Spinosa, our philosophy and our way of thinking and interpreting wine.
We saw the PalaJago and the Tunnel of Jago, the new underground cellar of Villa Spinosa, strolled through the Italian style garden and admired the vineyards of Jago directly from the Marabutto, the small belvedere of Villa Spinosa. We dropped by the new wine shop, Enoteca in Tinaia, renewed and expanded, before focusing on the tasting of the our family of wines.
A tasting of the Valpolicella wines of Villa Spinosa: Valpolicella Classico, 'Figari' Valpolicella Classico Superiore and 'Jago' Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore, going ahead with Amarone DOCG 2012, 'Albasini' Amarone of Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2010 up to 'Guglielmi Of Jago - 10 anni’ Amarone of the Valpolicella Classico DOC 2007.
